Director's interests in shares of Nedcor Limited

The Company has been informed, by a letter received on 21 February 2001, that
Mr W A M Clewlow, a director of the Company, purchased a direct, beneficial
interest in 2,000 ordinary shares of ZAR1 each in the Company's 53.4% owned
subsidiary Nedcor Limited on the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa on 21
February 2001 at a price of ZAR165.28 each.  The total number of shares in
Nedcor Limited in which Mr Clewlow is now interested is 2,000.
