Interim Dividend
Six months to 30 June 2001
The Board of Old Mutual plc ('Old Mutual') has declared an interim dividend of
1.7p per share for the six months to 30 June 2001, to be paid on 30 November
2001 to shareholders on the register at close of business on 19 October 2001.
Old Mutual's shares are listed on the London, Zimbabwe, Namibian and Malawi
stock exchanges and the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa. The shares will
trade ex-dividend from the opening of business on 17 October 2001 on each of
these markets.
Shareholders on the South African, Zimbabwe and Malawi branch registers and
the Namibian section of the principal register will be paid the local currency
equivalent of the dividend under the Dividend Access Trust arrangements
established in each country. Local currency equivalents of the dividend will
be determined using exchange rates prevailing on 15 October 2001. An
announcement of the local currency equivalents will be made by the Company on
16 October 2001.
