Interim Dividend
Six months to 30 June 2000
The Board of Old Mutual plc has declared an interim dividend of
1.6p per share for the six months to 30 June 2000, to be paid
on 30 November 2000 to shareholders on the register at close of
business on 20 October 2000.
Old Mutual's shares are listed on the London, Johannesburg,
Zimbabwe, Namibian and Malawi stock exchanges. It is
anticipated that the shares will trade ex-dividend from 16
October 2000 on each of these markets.
Shareholders on the South African, Zimbabwe, Namibian and
Malawi branches or sections of the register will be paid the
local currency equivalent of the dividend under the Dividend
Access Trust arrangements established in each country. Local
currency equivalents of the dividend will be determined using
the appropriate exchange rates at close of business on 13
October 2000, as quoted in the London Financial Times on 16
October 2000. An announcement of the local currency
equivalents will be made by the Company on 16 October 2000.
