Old Mutual plc ('Old Mutual') will release its interim results for the six
months to 30 June 2004 at 07.00 am UK (08.00 am South Africa) on Tuesday 10th
August 2004.  Following this there will be a presentation on the results at
09.30 am UK and 10.30 am SA.



Jim Sutcliffe, Chief Executive, will host the event in Johannesburg and Julian
Roberts, Group Finance Director will host the presentation in London.  There
will be a satellite link between venues in the UK and South Africa.  The
addresses for the presentations are Old Mutual Place, 2 Lambeth Hill, London EC4
and Old Mutual Square, Isibaya Building, 93 Grayston Drive, Sandton 2196,
Johannesburg.



A live webcast of the presentation together with copies of the slides will be
available at the company's website www.oldmutual.com.    There will also be an
audio dial-in facility accessible on [phone] and a recording of the
event will be available for two weeks on [phone], pass code 221862.



A live broadcast of the presentation can be viewed on the South African DSTV
network on channel 55 from 10.30am (South African time).
