                       Preliminary results - Presentation

Old Mutual plc ('Old Mutual') will, today, be hosting a presentation in London
and in Johannesburg for investors and analysts on its preliminary results for
the year ended 31 December 2002.


The presentations will take place in the Old Mutual's offices in Sandton,
Johannesburg, and Old Mutual Place, in London.  The presentation is scheduled to
start at 09h00 (UK time), 11h00 (SA time). Presentation slides, and an archived
webcast of the presentation will be available on the company's website
www.oldmutual.com after the presentation concludes.  In addition there will be
an audio dial-in facility on the day, which will be accessible for the remaining
week. The dial in details will be available on the website shortly after the
presentation concludes.
