Share interests
Old Mutual plc (the 'Company') has been informed, by a letter dated and received
on 7 June 2002, that The St Paul Companies, Inc. and its subsidiary St Paul Fire
and Marine Insurance Company no longer have a notifiable interest, for the
purposes of Part VI of the UK Companies Act 1985, in the ordinary share capital
of Old Mutual plc. The St Paul group disposed of its shareholding in the
Company on 6 June 2002, pursuant to the placing announced by the Company on 30
May 2002.
