Shares in issue and applications for block listing
Old Mutual plc (the 'Company') announces that the number of shares in the
Company in issue at 18 November 2003 was 3,836,641,280.
Applications have been made by the Company to the UK Listing Authority and the
London Stock Exchange for the admission to listing and trading, under the block
listing procedure, of up to 20,000,000 shares in the Company pursuant to the
Group's share option schemes. 4,381,042 of those shares have already been
issued, mainly by way of recent exercises of rollover options under the Gerrard
Group plc share option schemes to employees of GNI Limited, a former subsidiary
of the Company, and are included in the Company's issued share capital at 18
November 2003 detailed above.
Applications will also be made to each of the other exchanges on which the
Company's shares are listed for the additional issued shares to be admitted to
listing.
