Optare secures largest order to date

The Company is pleased to announce that it has received an order from London General Limited, an operating subsidiary of the Go-Ahead Group plc ('Go-Ahead') worth £14.25 million. The order is for the supply of 94 buses comprising 54 double deck and 40 single deck buses with the first deliveries scheduled during the fourth quarter of 2008.

Chief Executive of Optare, Andrew Brian, said: 'We are delighted to once again be working with Go-Ahead, one of the UK's leading bus operators, as we continue to focus on improving our productivity and delivering great buses to the industry. On the back of other recent contract wins, this further enhances the visibility of our order book.'
