Optare notes the press release made by FirstGroup plc ("FirstGroup") today and confirms that it is in receipt of a purchase order for 6 electrical buses at a value of £1.5 million.  Optare also announces that it is in continuing discussion with FirstGroup regarding an order for a further 15 buses although there can be no guarantee that these discussions will result in a purchase order.

Optare will make a further announcement as appropriate.
