New Group Executive Board at Orkla - focus on the branded goods businessThe heads of the four business units in Orkla Brands will now be members of Orkla's Group Executive Board. Håkon Mageli has been appointed Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications and Corporate Affairs.
"Orkla will now have a Group executive management with solid branded goods expertise and a dedicated corporate centre to serve the branded goods companies. Orkla is thereby taking an important step towards transforming the Group into a pure branded goods company," says Orkla President and CEO Åge Korsvold.
As from 1 June, Orkla's Group Executive Board will consist of President and CEO Åge Korsvold, business area heads Atle Vidar Johansen (Orkla Foods Nordic), Jan-Ove Rivenes (Orkla Brands Nordic), Pål Eikeland (Orkla Food Ingredients) and Paul Jordahl (Orkla Brands International), and Executive Vice Presidents Terje Andersen, Karin Aslaksen, Karl Otto Tveter and Håkon Mageli. As a result of Orkla divesting its industry businesses, Sapa CEO Svein Tore Holsether has been relieved of other Group functions in order to concentrate fully on Sapa and the current processes in the company. He is therefore withdrawing from the Group Executive Board, but will continue to report to President and CEO Åge Korsvold.
Håkon Mageli will be responsible for Corporate Communications and Corporate Affairs, which includes governmental affairs, food safety and nutrition.
