The Company was today notified that on 5 September 2001 Prelude Trust plc ('
Prelude') exercised its option to acquire 3,070,679 currently issued ordinary
shares of 1p each ('Ordinary Shares') in the Company, pursuant to an option
granted to Prelude on 26 February 1998.


Following the exercise of this option, Prelude is interested in 22,337,346
Ordinary Shares representing 9.4% of the issued share capital of the Company.



Of these Ordinary Shares acquired by Prelude, 938,549 Ordinary Shares were
acquired from Alan Kingsman and 952,861 Ordinary Shares were acquired from
Susan Kingsman, both directors of the Company. Consequently, following the
exercise of Prelude's option, Alan Kingsman is interested in 8,503,451
Ordinary Shares and Susan Kingsman is interested in 8,639,139 Ordinary Shares,
representing 3.58% and 3.64% respectively of the issued share capital of the
Company
