    OXFORD BIOMEDICA TO PRESENT AT COWEN AND COMPANY HEALTH CARE CONFERENCE

Oxford, UK - 17 March 2008: Oxford BioMedica (LSE: OXB), a leading gene therapy
company, today announces that Nick Woolf, the Company's SVP Corporate Strategy,
will give a presentation at the Cowen and Company 28th Annual Health Care
Conference on Tuesday, 18 March 2008, at 2.25PM EST (7.25PM BST). The conference
is being held at the Boston Marriott Copley Place, MA.

1. Oxford BioMedica

Oxford BioMedica (LSE: OXB) is a biopharmaceutical company specialising in
cancer immunotherapy and gene-based therapies. The Company was established in
1995, as a spin-out from Oxford University, and is listed on the London Stock
Exchange.


The Company has a platform of gene delivery technologies, which are based on
