Oxford Instruments plc 2001/2002 Interim Results

The Directors of Oxford Instruments plc will be meeting on Tuesday 13 November
2001 to approve the accounts for the half year to 30 September 2001 for
publication and to agree the Interim Dividend for the year to 31 March 2002.

The Dividend will be payable on 22 March 2002 to members on the register at
the close of business on 22 February 2002 (the record date).

The announcement of the company's Interim Results will be released to the
Stock Exchange on Tuesday 13 November 2001.
