OMG plc ('the Company') - Holding in Company

The Company received notification on 11 October 2002, in accordance with
sections 198 to 202 of the Companies Act 1985, that on Friday 4 October 2002
Herald Investment Trust plc had purchased 3,800,000 ordinary shares of 0.25p
each in the Company and accordingly now has a holding of 3,800,000 ordinary
shares, which represents approximately 7.59% of the Company's issued share
capital.
