                            DIRECTORS SHAREHOLDINGS


Further to the Company's announcement of a conditional placing (the 'Placing')
on 24th September 2002 and following admission to trading of the Placing shares
today, the Company's Chairman, Mr Tommaso Zanzotto has acquired 183,333 ordinary
shares of 1 pence each in the Company at a price of 18 pence per share.


These shares represent Mr Zanzotto's total beneficial shareholding in the
Company which amounts to 0.16 per cent. of the issued ordinary share capital of
the Company.
