Michael Page International plc, the specialist professional recruitment consultancy operating in 34 countries around the world, announces that following the completion of an external recruitment process, Simon Boddie has been appointed to the Board as an independent Non-Executive Director and member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees, effective today.

Simon Boddie has been Group Finance Director of Electrocomponents Plc since September 2005.  Electrocomponents is the world's leading high service distributor of electronics and maintenance products with operations in 32 countries. Simon joined Electrocomponents plc from Diageo where he held a variety of senior finance positions over a 13 year career, latterly as Finance Director of Key Markets. Simon is a Chartered Accountant.

Commenting on the Board changes, Robin Buchanan, Chairman, said:
