2005 FIRST QUARTER TRADING UPDATE
Michael Page International plc, the specialist recruitment consultancy, reports
2005 first quarter revenues (gross profit) of £59.8m, an increase of 24.3% over
the £48.1m recorded in the first quarter of 2004.
In the UK, first quarter revenues were 17.1% up on the first quarter of 2004.
In Continental Europe, first quarter revenues were 30.9% up on the first quarter
of 2004.
In Asia Pacific, first quarter revenues were 26.7% up on the first quarter of
2004.
In The Americas, first quarter revenues were 74.8% up on the first quarter of
2004.
During the first quarter the Group repurchased 1.85m shares at an average price
of 195p.
Commenting on the first quarter result, Chief Executive Terry Benson said:
"All our geographic regions continued to show good growth in the first quarter
and the outlook for the group remains encouraging."
