Canada - Dotted Lake Soil Programme
Panther Metals PLC (LSE:PALM) the company focused on mineral exploration in Canada and Australia, is pleased to provide an exploration update for the Dotted Lake property in the Province of Ontario Canada.
Darren Hazelwood, Chief Executive Officer, commented:
"We are very pleased to announce the commissioning of a soil geochemical survey over the Dotted Lake Exploration Permit area. The soil survey which is due to start next week will seek to delineate strike extensions to the high-grade gold mineralisation intersected by historical trenching and will provide surface coverage to prospective structures delineated by Panther's airborne geophysics survey conducted late last year.
Panther have also now completed the drill tender process for the Dotted Lake reconnaissance diamond drill hole which is planned to intersect the sheared contact between granodiorite and ultramafic rocks interpreted in the vicinity of the historical trenching. Further details on the drill contract award will be announced shortly."
Soil Survey Programme
Panther have contracted Fladgate Exploration Consulting Corporation ("Fladgate") to conduct a soil geochemistry sampling programme over a 1.60km by 0.85km target area coinciding with the Dotted Lake Exploration Permit area (award announced 4 May 2021).
The soil geochemistry survey has been designed to build out and in-fill the westerly strike extensions of high-grade gold mineralisation intersected by historical trenching undertaken by a previous licence holder in 2010 (Tr-10-4) and as confirmed during Panther's reconnaissance sampling (gold up to 18.9g/t Au) announced 5 November 2020.
The soil survey will also provide important geochemical coverage of target structures outlined by Panther's airborne geophysical survey (announced 22 February 2021).
The geology of the target area consists a granodiorite hosted mineralised shear in the vicinity of a mafic/ultramafic intrusive body.
The soil survey team is currently expected to mobilise to site around 17 June 2021.
