                              DIRECTOR DECLARATION

The following information is disclosed further to the appointment of Mr David
Beever as a non-executive director of The Paragon Group of Companies PLC on 8
August 2003, in compliance with the UKLA rules governing the appointment of
directors.

Mr Beever currently holds non-executive directorships in JJB Sports plc, Volex
Group plc, London & Continental Railways Limited and is Chairman of KPMG
Corporate Finance. From 1995 to 1999 Mr Beever was a non-executive director of
Servomex plc.

There are no matters under paragraphs 6.F.2 (b) to (g) of the Listing Rules to
be disclosed.
