PURCHASE OF SHARES BY EMPLOYEE TRUST

On 20 January 2011, The Paragon Group of Companies PLC Employee Trust purchased 370,589 ordinary shares of £1 each in The Paragon Group of Companies PLC at £1.8745 per share and, on 21 January 2011, purchased a further 119,411 shares at £1.8124 per share.

The shares were acquired to meet awards as they mature and are exercised under The Paragon Group of Companies Performance Share and Matching Share Plans and Deferred Bonus Scheme, in which the Group's executive directors and certain of the Group's senior employees have participated from time to time.

Following the purchase of the shares the total shares held by The Paragon Group of Companies PLC's various employee trusts is 4,264,272.
