PURCHASE OF SHARES BY AND ALLOTMENT TO EMPLOYEE TRUST

On 14 January 2011, The Paragon Group of Companies PLC Employee Trust purchased 160,000 ordinary shares of £1 each in The Paragon Group of Companies PLC at £1.8966 per share and were allotted a further 291,367 shares at par value.

The shares were acquired to meet awards as they mature and are exercised under The Paragon Group of Companies Performance Share and Matching Share Plans and Deferred Bonus Scheme, in which the Group's executive directors and certain of the Group's senior employees have participated from time to time.

Following the purchase of the shares the total shares held by The Paragon Group of Companies PLC's various employee trusts is 3,774,272.
