THE PARKMEAD GROUP PLC
('Parkmead' or the 'Group')
Creation of Advisory Board and first appointments
The Board of Parkmead (the 'Board') has established an Advisory Board comprising of industry and investment experts to assist the Group in the identification, evaluation and investment of energy based assets.
Two initial senior appointments have now been made. David Bamford, currently a Non-Executive Director at Tullow Oil plc and Peter Davies, an internationally renowned energy economist, who was Chief Economist at BP until 2007.
The establishment of this Advisory Board follows three recent investments Parkmead has made in the oil and gas industry. Parkmead has acquired 3.07% of Faroe Petroleum, 0.84% of Reservoir Exploration Technology, and 0.16% of PA Resources AB (subsequently exited at an IRR of 76%).
Commenting, Parkmead Chairman, Colin Goodall, said:
'The creation of the Advisory Board, with David and Peter as our first members, provides Parkmead with further access to globally respected industry professionals in technical and financial arenas.
'Following our recent investments, this is another important step forward in Parkmead's transition into a focused energy investment group.'
