Parity awarded Food Standards Agency contract
Parity Group plc ('Parity'), the IT consultancy group, today announces it has
been awarded a six-figure contract by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) to
design a website and content management system to advise the public on
food-related health and safety issues.
Parity's work on the contract begins immediately and the site is due to be
launched in October 2001. This contract reflects Parity's focus on five key
sectors, namely Government, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Energy and
Communications, following the company's strategic review in May.
Ian Miller, Chief Executive of Parity, commented: 'This high profile contract
is in line with our focus on selected key sectors, and utilises skills and
market experience that we have built up in our Solutions business. I am
delighted that we are already seeing tangible benefits such as this arising
out of the strategic review.'
