PricewaterhouseCoopers have notified the Company that they will not seek re-appointment for the year ending 30 September 2017 because under the more restrictive independence requirements of the FRC's Revised Ethical Standards 2016, the non-audit services which they propose to provide to the Standard Life Group would render them non-independent. Following a formal tender process, the Board is pleased to recommend the appointment of KPMG LLP ("KPMG") as its new auditor, to carry out the Company's audit for the year ending 30 September 2017.
In accordance with section 519 of the Companies Act 2006 the outgoing auditor, ("PwC") has deposited a statement with the Company of the circumstances connected with them ceasing to hold office as auditor. A copy of the Statement is included with the Notice of Annual General Meeting ("AGM") which will be sent to every person who is entitled to receive a copy of the Company's Annual Report and Financial Statement and can also be downloaded Further details of this can be found in the Notice of AGM which can be downloaded from the Company's website at:

KPMG will stand for appointment at the Company's AGM on 24 January 2017.

The Board of the Company announces that Winterflood Securities has been appointed as Joint Corporate Stockbroker and Financial Adviser to the Company with immediate effect.
