Chairman's AGM Statement

Vislink PLC 7 June 2000 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING STATEMENT Mr Bob Morton, Chairman, said at the Annual General Meeting today: 'It is our strategy to become the leading global designer and manufacturer of microwave transmission equipment for broadcast TV. This is underway following the acquisition of Advent Communications on 17 April 2000 and we are continuing to seek further opportunities to achieve this strategy. The Broadcast and Telecommunications Division has continued to win significant orders, the three most notable being: a) A £2.3 million order from a state sponsored West African customer for a major turnkey TV station expansion. b) A £0.8 million contract from TV Espana for 38 new generation digital/analogue portable links to be used for outside broadcast coverage. c) A £1.6 million order from Maroc Telecom to install and commission fixed and mobile earth terminals to link remote areas of the country to the developing GSM phone network. The digital TV transmitters supplied by Continental Microwave Limited for the UK's new digital TV network, have performed well. A number of sites are currently being upgraded to increase their coverage. Continental Microwave Limited is well placed to win the second phase of new site installations expected towards the end of this year. The Video Technology Division has won a £0.6 million order through Hernis, our Norwegian based video systems company, to supply Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines with an integrated CCTV system for two new vessels, providing internal and external observation and safety systems. In the Video Technology division we have started an investment programme to enhance Active Imaging's Internet video based systems for the acquisition, transmission, storage and onward distribution, of hosted Real Time and pre-recorded Video Images to the business to business sector. We expect the majority of the work to be completed this year with the new products available for trial in the final quarter and sales shipments to commence in the first quarter of next year. With the encouraging level of orders and enquiries, the integration of Advent Communications and the further opportunities available to the Group, we look forward to the future with confidence.'
