PEEL HOTELS PLC (the 'Company')

Cancellation of Shares

The Company announces that the allotment of 114,000 ordinary shares in the capital of the Company in May/June 2008, to certain employees of the Company upon the exercise of employee share options, has been found to have been made in error and that such shares were not validly allotted and/or issued by the Company.

As a consequence of the above, the issued share capital of the Company was not increased in May/June 2008, as had been previously notified to the market, and therefore the Company's issued share capital is now restated as 14,012,123 ordinary shares of 10p each; and the employee share options have been reinstated in the amounts, at the prices, as existed in April 2008.
