The Company has been notified by Mr Charles Peel (a substantial shareholder in
the Company) that he has increased his interest in the shares of the Company, as
a result of the acquisition today of 76,252 ordinary shares in the capital of
the Peel Hotels plc at 150 pence per share, for an aggregate consideration of
£114,378, by Sabretooth Investments Ltd, a company controlled by members of Mr
Peel's family.

Following the acquisition of these shares, Mr Peel is interested, directly and
indirectly, in 2,685,000 shares in the Company, representing 19.2% of the
Company's issued share capital.
