                        RESIGNATION OF FINANCE DIRECTOR


Since the year end (11 February 2007) John Perkins has decided to retire with
immediate effect and consequently has resigned from his position as Financial
Director and from the Board of Directors of Peel Hotels plc. John, who has been
Financial Director of Peel Hotels Plc since 7 September 1998, fell ill in 2006
and was unable to work for the majority of the year. The Board of Directors
thank him for all his work over the years and wish him a speedy recovery and a
happy retirement.

Nick Parrish , who has been with Peel Hotels since 1998 has deputised in John's
absence, will continue in that role for the time being.
