PENNON GROUP PLC (THE 'COMPANY')



FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE



BLOCK LISTING




Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for the admission of
2,715,237 ordinary shares of 111 pence each in the Company to the Official list
and the London Stock Exchange for these securities to be admitted to trading as
a block listing.



The application is being made in respect of shares that may fall to be issued
pursuant to the:



Pennon Group All Employee Sharesave Scheme, being a maximum of 158,000 ordinary
shares;



Scrip dividend alternative in lieu of cash, being a maximum of 2,274,426
ordinary shares for the final dividend to be paid on 1 October 2004 in respect
of the year ended 31 March 2004; and



Restricted Share Plan 2004 Award, being a maximum for the current year of
282,811 ordinary shares of 111 pence each.
