PENNON GROUP PLC (THE 'COMPANY')

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BLOCK LISTING


Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for the admission of
358,336 ordinary shares of 111 pence each in the Company to the Official list
and the London Stock Exchange for these securities to be admitted to trading as
a block listing.

The application is being made in respect of shares that may fall to be issued
pursuant to the:

Pennon Group All Employee Sharesave Scheme, being a maximum of 303,893 ordinary
shares of 111 pence each; and

Pennon Group Annual Incentive Plan - Deferred Bonus Element 2005 Award, being a
maximum of 54,443 ordinary shares of 111 pence each.
