HOLDING IN COMPANY





Pennon Group Plc received notification yesterday (by fax dated 14 November 2006)
that Zurich Financial Services and its Group hold an interest in 21,310,764
Ordinary Shares of 40.7p each in the Company, representing 5.99% of the issued
share capital.  The percentage shareholding of Zurich Financial Services is also
included within the shareholding of Ameriprise Financial, Inc as the Zurich
Group is part of the Ameriprise Group of Companies.
