INITIAL RESPONSE TO FURTHER OFWAT SECTION 13 NOTICE TO MODIFY WATER COMPANY LICENCES

Pennon Group's subsidiary, South West Water, has received from Ofwat, along with the other water companies, a further Section 13 Notice setting out proposed changes to its Licence as a water and sewerage undertaker.

These Licence proposals have been prepared as a result of extensive constructive discussions between Ofwat and water companies following the previous Section 13 Notice issued in October 2012. South West Water welcomes the significant changes which have been made to the proposals relating in particular to the next price review process in 2014.

The revised proposals will now require formal consideration by the company to enable a response to be provided to Ofwat by the end of the consultation period on 23 January 2013.
