Persimmon PLC

Application has been made for a block listing of 400,000 new ordinary shares of
10 pence each of Persimmon plc to be admitted to the Official List of the UK
Listing Authority and to trading on the London Stock Exchange.  These shares
will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares and will be issued
pursuant to the exercise of options under the 1997 Executive Share Option Plan.
