AGM Statement
At today's AGM, Duncan Davidson Chairman of Persimmon, commented:
'We completed the acquisition of Beazer in March 2001 and we are pleased to
report that the integration is proceeding as planned. We are well advanced
with the reorganisation of the enlarged Group and the integration of Beazer
operations into Persimmon's North and South divisions. Having completed the
re-branding of all the private housing developments we have now closed 10
offices. A further two offices will be closed by the end of June. We remain
confident that we will achieve the synergy benefits which we outlined at the
time of the acquisition announcement in January.
'Sales volumes for the year to date are encouraging and forward sales revenue
is well ahead of last year. We continue to witness strong visitor levels and
are confident about the future performance of the group.'
