Persimmon Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of David Jenkinson (B.A. Hons), North Division Chief Executive as an Executive Director with effect from 13 December 2013.
David Jenkinson (46) has been the Divisional Chief Executive of Persimmon's North Division since January 2013 with responsibility for twelve regions from the East Midlands to Scotland. He has worked in the housebuilding industry since 1995 and has a degree in Town & Country Planning. Mr Jenkinson has been with Persimmon for over 16 years and previous roles include Managing Director of Persimmon Homes North East and Regional Managing Director.
Nicholas Wrigley, Chairman, commented "Dave will bring a wealth of operational experience to the Board. His appointment again demonstrates the strength of our divisional management teams and the Company's ability to promote internal candidates to the Board in accordance with our succession planning policy."
There are no further details required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13 in connection with Mr Jenkinson's appointment.
Following Mr Jenkinson's appointment to the Board an option has been granted to him today under the Persimmon Plc 2012 Long Term Incentive Plan (the Plan) over 460,523 shares at an option price of £11.355. This award is subject to the performance condition set out in the rules of the Plan, in summary being the return of £6.20 per share to shareholders by the end of 2021. The awards may vest up to 40% in December 2017 and the remainder in 2021.
As a result Mr Jenkinson holds options/awards over 1,698,567 ordinary shares granted under the Company's various share schemes.
The issued share capital of the Company on 13 December 2013 is 304,627,407 shares.
