Director's Shareholding

Persimmon plc (the "Company") announces that on 8 March 2011 it was informed that on that day, Nicholas Wrigley, non-executive Director purchased 22,000 ordinary shares in the Company at an average price of 460.5p.

As a result of this transaction Mr Wrigley is interested in 26,000 shares or 0.01% of the issued share capital of the Company (excluding Treasury Shares). 

The issued share capital of the Company on 8 March 2011 (excluding shares held in Treasury) was 301,171,923 ordinary shares.
