Director's Shareholding

Persimmon plc (the 'Company') announces that on 16 June 2009 Jeffrey Fairburn, executive Director exercised options over 4,080 shares awarded to him under the Company's Bonus Share Scheme.

As a result of these transactions, Mr Fairburn and his wife's interest in the Company's shares increased to 35,594 shares or 0.01% of the issued share capital of the Company excluding Treasury shares.

The issued share capital of the Company on 16 June 2009 was 300,435,964 ordinary shares, excluding Treasury Shares.
