Director's Shareholding


Persimmon plc (the 'Company') announces that it was today informed that on 2
April 2003, Mr D H Davidson, Chairman, had purchased 6,327 ordinary shares in
the Company at 375.5p per share, through his FURB trust. As a result Mr Davidson
and his family are interested in 17,404,793 shares or 6.2% of the issued share
capital of the Company.
