On 12 November 2003, Persimmon plc (the 'Company') was informed that on 11 and
12 November Persimmon (Share Scheme Trustees) Limited had purchased a total of
281,000 ordinary shares in the Company at an average price of 455.85p.


In accordance with the Resolution passed at the Company's AGM on 25 April 2002,
these shares have been conditionally awarded to Mr J White, Group Chief
Executive and Mr M P Farley, Divisional Chief Executive and will vest on 1 March
2004.
