Director's Share Sale

On 19 November 2004, Persimmon plc (the 'Company') was informed that today, Mr
DH Davidson, Non-Executive Chairman, sold 225,000 ordinary shares in the
Company, at an average price of 663.5p. The resultant notifiable interest of Mr
D H Davidson is 16,424,335 shares, or 5.7% of the issued share capital of the
Company.

Mr D H Davidson has informed the Company that the share sale was to meet a tax
bill due in January 2005 and that he has no present intention of selling further
shares.
