'Directors' Shareholdings

Persimmon plc ('the Company') was informed on 1 December 2004 that on that day
the undernoted directors exercised share options granted to them under the
Company's SAYE scheme. Details are set out below:

* All of Mr Killoran's shares are held by Halifax Share Dealing Nominees
Limited, some of which will be held in an ISA.

Following these transactions Mr Bryant has an interest in 378,174 shares of the
company, representing 0.13% of the issued share capital; Mr Killoran has an
interest in 227,493 shares of the company, representing 0.08% of the issued
share capital and Mr White has an interest in 1,194,881 shares of the company,
representing 0.41% of the issued share capital.'

Excluding LTIP Awards, as a result of the above, Mr D G Bryant holds options
over 1,804 ordinary shares, Mr M H Killoran holds options over 1,804 ordinary
shares and Mr J White holds options over 1,865 ordinary shares.
