Persimmon PLC ('Persimmon' or 'the Company')

Persimmon  was  informed  on 2 November 1999 that  on  that  day  two  of  its
directors  exercised share options granted to them under one of the  Company's
SAYE Schemes.  Details are set out below:

In  addition, on 29 October 1999, Mike Killoran, Persimmon's finance director,
received  99  ordinary shares in the Company as a result of an  allocation  of
ordinary  shares pursuant to a scrip dividend election.  As a result  of  this
election, Mr Killoran is interested in 7,454 ordinary shares in the Company.
