Director's shareholding

The Company was informed on 9 March 2000 of the following option exercise by
Mike Farley, a Director of the Company:

On 8 March 2000 Mr Farley exercised share options in respect of 21,713
ordinary shares of 10p each ('Ordinary Shares') at a subscription price of
141.5p per share.

Following this exercise, Mr Farley (and his wife) are interested in a total of
194,934 Ordinary Shares, 0.11 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
