Directors dealings

The Company was informed on 16 March 2000, that on that day, Mr Geoffrey
Grewer (a director of the Company), his wife and a trust in which he is
beneficially interested, acquired a total of 22,800 ordinary shares in
Persimmon at 177p per share.

Following this purchase Mr Grewer (and family) is interested in 308,085 shares
representing 0.17 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.
