Directors' Share Purchases

On 5th November 2002, Persimmon plc (the 'Company') was informed that on the 4th
and 5th November 2002, Mr D H Davidson, Non-Executive Chairman, had purchased
20,000 ordinary shares in the Company, at an average price of 410.9p. The
resultant notifiable interest of Mr D H Davidson is 17,318,466 shares, or 6.3%
of the issued share capital of the Company.

Also on 5th November 2002, the Company was informed that on the 4th and 5th
November 2002, Mr J White, Group Executive, had purchased 60,000 ordinary shares
in the Company, at an average price of 410.9p. The resultant notifiable holding
for Mr J White is 526,957 shares or 0.2% of the issued share capital of the
Company.
