           Appointment of Richard Pennycook as Non Executive Director

Persimmon Plc, is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Pennycook as a 
Non Executive Director with effect from (14) March 2008.

Richard Pennycook (44) is Group Finance Director of Wm Morrison Supermarkets 
PLC, a chartered accountant and graduate of Bristol University.

John White, Chairman of Persimmon, said 'We are delighted to welcome Richard to 
the Board. He has a wealth of experience and expertise which will be of great 
benefit to Persimmon as we continue to develop our business.'

Richard's previous roles include Group Finance Director of RAC plc, a Non 
Executive Director of Richer Sounds plc and Finance Director at HP Bulmer 
Holdings plc.
