Result of Board Meeting

At a Board meeting of the Company held on 27 October 1999
it was resolved to apply to the London Stock Exchange for
a block listing of 9,000,000 ordinary 10p shares pursuant
to the Company's various share option schemes.

Upon allotment, these shares will rank pari passu in all
respects with the existing issued ordinary shares.
