Persimmon Plc ('the Company' )- Transfer of Shares held in Treasury



Persimmon Plc announces that on 7 May 2008 it transferred 569 Ordinary Shares to
a participant in the Persimmon Plc Long Term Incentive Plan to satisfy the
exercise of an option at a price of £7.465.  On the same day, 360 Ordinary
Shares were transferred to a participant in the Persimmon Plc Savings Related
Share Option Scheme 1998 to satisfy the exercise of an option at a price of
£5.25.



Following these transfers the Company holds 2,690,342 Ordinary Shares of 10p
each in Treasury and the Company's issued share capital is 299,901,089 Ordinary
Shares (excluding Treasury Shares).
