Persimmon Plc ('the Company' )- Transfer of Shares held in Treasury

Persimmon Plc announces that on 27 May 2008 it transferred 459 Ordinary Shares to a participant in the Persimmon Plc Long Term Incentive Plan to satisfy the exercise of an option at a price of £7.465. On the same day, 15,000 Ordinary Shares were transferred to a participant in the Persimmon Plc Executive Share Option Scheme 1997 to satisfy the exercise of an option at a price of £4.195.

Following these transfers the Company holds 2,519,757 Ordinary Shares of 10p each in Treasury and the Company's issued share capital is 300,071,674 Ordinary Shares (excluding Treasury Shares).
