Persimmon Plc ("the Company") - Transfer of Shares held in Treasury

Persimmon Plc announces that on 11 March 2010 it transferred 694,925 Ordinary Shares held in Treasury to participants in the Persimmon Plc 2006 Synergy Incentive Plan to satisfy the exercise of nil cost options.  

Following this transfer the Company holds 1,457,474 Ordinary Shares of 10p each in Treasury and the Company's issued share capital is 301,133,957 Ordinary Shares (excluding Treasury Shares).
